Hi! I’m Erika, an illustrator, artisan, and the founder of Nekojima Studios, a small Italian brand dedicated to creating kawaii stationery and accessories inspired by cats and Japanese culture.
My passion for art and cats has always been a part of me. After studying at the I° Liceo Artistico in Rome, I began my creative journey at the age of 19, crafting handmade jewelry and accessories under my first brand, Le Chat Noir Cutisserie. Over the years, my unique style gained recognition at comic conventions like Expocartoon, Romics, Lucca Comics, and Cartoomics, and through my Etsy shop, I was able to share my creations with people all over the world.
In 2020, I felt the need to return to my roots. I left behind polymer clay crafting to rediscover my love for drawing, and that’s when Nekojima Studios was born. The theme of kawaii cats remains at the heart of my work, but the products have evolved: now I focus on creating unique illustrations that bring to life stationery and accessories designed to add a touch of sweetness and magic to everyday life.
Every product you’ll find here is inspired by my love for Japan, kawaii art, and, of course, my beloved cats! I’m so happy to share a piece of my world with you.
